A Month of Small Giants

Summit Takeaways & Inspiring the Next Generation of Workers

This June, Kathy, Julie, Clarissa and Heather traveled to Denver, CO, for the annual three-day Small Giants Summit. Kathy was a featured keynote speaker and shared her story on how values-based leadership has been a defining factor in the rapid success of RC, in terms of leadership, culture, client retention and attraction, and ultimately profit.

We always look forward to this summit because of the quality takeaways gained from round table discussions and and experiences shared by our like-minded peers, with a focus on sales, growth and businesses succession. A sample highlight we brought back to our team was insight on how to incorporate personal, professional and core values into the review process. Lastly, we participated in an exercise that provided us a benchmark to evaluate our corporate health, measuring Leadership, Community, Relationships, Culture, Passion, and Profit, all of which make up the six qualities of a Small Giant.

From one Small Giants event to another …

Just one week later, Small Giant business leader Nick Sarillo, invited CEOs, corporate leaders, human resource professionals, and anyone interested in developing a better workplace on a behind the scenes tour of his purpose- and values-driven restaurant, Nick’s Pizza & Pub. Nick shared strategies to inspire the next generation of professionals (Millennials and Generation Z) and how to establish culture through hiring, decision making, and communication.

Small Giants grow their businesses with purpose and take pride in developing a healthy culture. We encourage you to join us and learn more about the Small Giants Community.
