Red Caffeine Joins Forces with Skill Scout

The HR Management Association hosted the Aha! 2017 HR Conference last week at the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Brook. Co-Founder of Skill Scout, Abby Cheesman, asked VP Julie Poulos and Content Director Shannon Callarman to partner with her on a one-hour workshop on employer branding.

Julie and Shannon set the stage, explaining why employer branding is as important as a general corporate brand, and why every brand needs a recruitment marketing plan.

Recruitment starts with a job description. Skill Scout’s mission is “to bring people back to the hiring process through video and hands-on interviews.” Abby delighted the audience by showing a few examples of video job postings and explained how anyone with a smartphone can create one.

The workshop ended with a few thought-provoking questions from the audience, such as “how do you get the marketing team on board?” and “what if what we do involves working with kids?”
