Telling Your Brand Story

Shannon Gets “Official” About Telling Your Brand Story

Once again, District 214’s Northwest Suburban Council invited Red Caffeine to help educate Public Information Officers from surrounding cities. Once a quarter, marketing, communication and PR directors from schools, municipalities, park districts, police and fire departments come together to learn from and leverage each other’s experiences.

Following the previous session on Marketing Planning, led by RC’s VP Julie Poulos, the group was polled on what topic they’d like to have addressed next. Survey said … “Telling Your Brand Story” was a leading challenge that everyone faced. We shouldn’t be surprised as it is a consistent pain point that our clients face. Once defined it is the key element that drives company consistency both in print and online.

Red Caffeine’s Content Director Shannon Callarman led the workshop. She stepped through the key elements of defining a brand story, facilitated break outs, as well as shared samples of successfully implanted brands. Her passion for words and creative flair inspired the audience. And at the end of the day, they walked out with a first draft of who they are, what they offer, and why they are better!

What will the next topic be? Shhh … it’s a secret. Okay, we’re not very good at keeping secrets. So, it might be Jimmy demystifying Google Analytics!
