Forget the typical trade show candy bowl. ARYZTA, a global supplier of baked goods to the food service, retail and QSR sectors, was looking to attract and delight storeowners at the Tim Horton’s Franchise Owner’s Convention. We helped them design and develop an interactive mobile app (iOS and Android) that created a one-of-a-kind show experience. Attendees were able to create, decorate and eat custom donuts on the spot using their own mobile devices and tablets within the booth. 

What's not to love? A donut with your favorite photo, sports team or selfie. 

  

The Donut Creation Station allowed attendees to choose donut flavors in English or French and upload a photo to create a personalized donut made in just a few minutes right at the show.

Experiential Marketing

We have seen more and more in-store customization in retail. During the two-day show, storeowners created 750 donuts and 250+ of them provided feedback. When asked if they could see the Donut Creation Station as a part of the ordering process in their restaurant location, 85% of respondents replied “YES.”

And if you’re curious, the most popular donut filling was marshmallow.
