Elk Grove Village dared to do something different. We worked with them to launch a bold B2B marketing campaign to attract and retain businesses. But "Beyond Business Friendly" is more than just a catchy tagline. It embodies the mission and vision of Elk Grove Village as they strive to be known as the most business friendly municipality in America.
The Village sought a marketing strategy that clearly established them as the most business friendly community in the United States. To support their “business friendly” vision, Elk Grove created several business development initiatives, all in line with its overall brand. These efforts include Block Party, a monthly email newsletter; the Strictly Business podcast; Makers Wanted, a multimedia ad campaign; EGVBizHub.com; the Business Leaders Forum; ElkGroveSites.com; and the annual Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing and Technology Expo. Our challenge was to create awareness of the wide variety of services, incentives, and benefits available to resident businesses. Launching the "Beyond Business Friendly" campaign included a rollout to the Village Board of Directors, leadership team and the entire staff to ensure the message was supported by internal stakeholders. Elk Grove Village is the destination for manufacturing. To counter the loss of manufacturing jobs in Illinois, we helped Elk Grove launch a Makers Wanted campaign. The Makers Wanted campaign and microsite was supported by a multimedia campaign, including broadcast media, radio, print advertising, and online PPC ads and attracted businesses looking to relocate or move to the award-winning microsite, MakersWanted.org. It's easy-to-use interface made it simple for businesses to investigate available sites, understand business incentives, and information on relocation and expansion.
Elk Grove Village’s Director of Business Development and Marketing Josh Grodzin hosts EGV’s official podcast, Strictly Business. Each month, he invites local business leaders and business experts to discuss news, topics, and trends in business and manufacturing. We partnered with EGV to design a fresh logo to help promote and distribute the new podcast by setting up its home on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and more.
Elk Grove Village plans and executes the largest annual manufacturing event under one roof, and is exclusive to local manufacturers. Starting in 2013, the Made In Elk Grove Manufacturing & Technology Expo has attracted over 1,000 attendees, each year, who are looking to Connect, Collaborate, and Cultivate new relationships with local manufacturers and OEM's. The event is supported and promoted through various channels, including its own microsite, PR initiatives, billboard ads, print ads, email marketing and web ads.
