Question #1

What’s The Most Fulfilling Aspect
of Your Role at Red Caffeine?

I love helping people think differently about the best way to connect with their target audience and I get to do that here. Whether we’re helping companies generate leads and sales or attract top talent, we’re often helping them think about challenges differently—often from an audience-centric perspective, which makes all the difference in the world.

Question #2

What’s The Most Fulfilling Aspect of Your
Role at Red Caffeine?

I think most companies are still trying to figure out what to make of AI (artificial intelligence). By now, we’ve all heard of ChatGPT, but the conversation somewhat stalled around whether or not AI will replace writers, like me. In my experience, AI is actually a huge force multiplier. It allows me to focus on more valuable strategic thinking rather than cranking out massive amounts of content.

Question #3

What Projects or Accomplishments Come to
Mind When You Think Back on Your Time at
Red Caffeine?

I’ve given a number of presentations in which clients are taken aback at how powerfully their own brand story can be told when we leverage customer and employee research, thoughtful positioning, and high quality copywriting. Giving companies a new way to talk about themselves—if not to see themselves is such a rewarding experience.

Question #4

What's Your Favorite Way to Collaborate
with Other Red Caffeine Team Members?

Collaborating is more effective and more enjoyable when you know and like the people around you. Our in-person, on-site workshops are an incredible opportunity to deliver impactful value to our clients, strengthen our partnership, and get to know each other on a more personal level. From traveling together and presenting together to spending time after hours at a local bar, nothing helps a team come together quite like getting together in person.

Question #5

Outside of Work, What's One Passion
or Hobby That Energizes You?

I’ve always been a really big sports fan. I was born and raised to root for the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears. To this day, I still play in adult softball leagues and sneak a round of golf in on the weekends when I can.

I’m a staunch defender of intentional strategy, return on improvement and outcomes over outputs as a model for better marketing, rather than more of the same. As a former journalist and a student of Philosophy, I’m a question asker and a deep thinker. That’s why I know what content moves people from awareness to action—and I’m not afraid to use it.
